Scientific-and-educational group:
methods of atomic spectral analysis and Mossbauer spectroscopy

Area of research:
Mossbauer spectroscopy, X-Ray fluorescence analysis

Scientific achievements:
Fundamental developments in the study of the interaction of Mossbauer radiation with matter, the development of theoretical concepts and computational algorithms that describe the structure and properties of micro- and nanoparticles, model calculations form of experimental Mössbauer spectra for a wide range of objects, including those where the observed relaxation processes.

Main results of applied work:
First proposed and put into practice an approach based on the use of X-ray and gamma optics for selective depth analysis of ultra-thin layers. This approach is widely used when using synchrotron radiation. The Institute for Analytical Instrumentation RAS established working model spectrometer for multifunctional diagnosis surfaces and multilayer structures. Work is underway on the use of Mössbauer spectroscopy in biomedical research. The first results on the distribution of magnetic nanoparticles in laboratory animal organs.
